The Texas State Board of Education wants to remove mention of Thomas Jefferson, architect of the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence from Texas Social Studies textbooks and replace this important figure in American History with French Theologian John Calvin 16th century founder of a Christian Theology known as Calvinism. But wait, it gets better, Jefferson Davis is required reading and Abraham Lincoln is reduced to no more than a side discussion.
